0ur sched is getting hectic-er than ever!

most of us are working with our economics project and concept web on women workers.plus the nutri jingle. and yes, most of our minds are getting a lot fuLLer because of the things we need to do over the weekend. its so ironic that i still have time to post all the scheds, homeworks and deadlines here in our blog.. [hehe]

homework in physics was given by dars yesterday. jamil said, some of the givens were not given [haha]. but anyways, i need to post it here so everyone would get updated, aryt?

1. a man walks eastward for 5 mi and then northward for 10 mi.
a. how far is he from his starting point?
b. if he had walked directly to his destination, in what direction would he have headed?

2. two tugboats are towing a ship. each exerts a force of 6 tons and the angle between the towropes is 60 degrees. what is the resultant force on the ship?

3. a boat moving at 5 mi/h is to cross a river in which the current is flowing at 3 mi/h. in what direction should the boat head in order to each point on the other bank of the river directly opposite its starting point?

4. in going from one city to another, a car whose driver tends to get lost goes 30 mi north. 50 mi west and 20 mi southeast. approximately how far apart are the cities?

5. an airplane flies 400 miles west from city a to city b, then 300 miles northeast to city c, and finally 100 miles north to city d. how far is it from city a to city d? in what direction wust the airplane head to return directly to city a from city d?
